Here is an example of a metalizing job performed in the Sullivan shop last week. The metalizing was performed to build up areas on the rotor shaft damaged by corrosion. This rotor is now ready for final machining before being returned to our customer.

Spare Rotor Repair→

This spare rotor repair was completed Spring 2016. During these repairs, the rotor vibration probe areas were polished and burnished, 5 grooves of rotor J-seals were replaced, Stage 5 stationary blade ring was repaired by welding, and numerous minor damage marks were addressed on the rotor and stationary blades. A low speed balance was then performed on the rotor. The rotor and stationary blade rings were packaged for storage to be held until the next turbine outage.
